Amsterdam based Designer Ivan Kasner (born 1979) graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven/Netherlands in 2005, department ‘man and living’. It was the year that he started working as a freelance designer for interior design office Muller van Tol. He also founded, in 2005, officeoriginair – an ongoing collaboration with German designer Uli Budde. From 2006 until 2011 he has been involved in the startup of several design brands, functioning as art director. In 2011 he decided to give full focus on his own design studio.
Ivan Kasner takes total artistic freedom to research valuable concepts and he tries to work with no limitations. This often results in working for the industry, without it being a necessary starting point.
His work focuses on everyday objects that surround us in our daily habitat and his handwriting can be described as simple and poetic, a focus on color, material and storytelling without losing functionality.
His work has been published in several design magazines and design related books and catalogues, such as the color envelope #06 and the independent Design Guide, published by Thames & Hudson, edited by Laura Husley.
Amongst his clients you will find Royal VKB (Officeoriginair), Serax and LEFF Amsterdam. His projects are honoured with different design awards like the Dutch Design Award (Officeoriginair), the GIO Award (Officeoriginair) and the RED DOT Designaward (Officeoriginair)
He is momentarily changing his website and will update soon. For any questions please contact Info@ivankasner.nl
